Protecting against routing threats by adopting MANRS
- We are MANRS compliant. This means we filter our data to protect our network against IP address spoofing and malicious attacks as well as prevent bad data packets from entering our network and when incidents do occur, we initiate a global collaborative response to resolve them.

Filtering routes by using RPKI standards
- We have implemented RPKI standards to mitigate BGP hijacks or routing misconfiguration errors so packet data reaches the correct destination.

Source Address Validation to protect our network edges
- Source Address Validation filters ensure every data packet contains information from the sender’s IP address. As malicious parties typically use falsified IP addresses, verifying whether the sender’s IP address is correct, and that the sender correctly advertises it, is the first step towards creating safe network edges.

Adding additional DDoS Mitigation Services
- As a Tier 1 provider, Liberty Global offers DDoS Mitigation Services for our IP transit clients to protect them against DDoS attacks.

Keeping up good network Hygiene
- Ensuring network hygiene is why correct route objects in Internet Routing Registries, like the RIPE database, are mandatory for connecting to our network. We use this data to automatically signal updates to the filters when customer networks change. This can be hard work to maintain, and we offer clients help to achieve a correct and secure administration themselves.
